There is discrimination against transgender people in Japan, but LGBTQ understanding is really lagging behind. Younger people watch videos of minority YouTubers, so they have understanding and little resistance. However, older people don't watch such videos, so they grow old without understanding. Also, Japan has not yet become a society that is tolerant of minorities, so people want to hide the fact that they are minorities. And it is serious because some people commit suicide.
